The room we used had a large, clean space with a view of the mountains and bay.

Breakfast is served à la carte or continental, with options like Greek yoghurt, fruit, and muesli. Breakfast in the room is available. The guesthouse has a coffee shop and offers packed lunches. The dining area includes a fireplace. The breakfast menu changes daily, with different plates and cutlery.
Leisure and Wellness
The property features an outdoor swimming pool, a garden with a sun terrace, and a bar. A spa offers body treatments, facials, massages, and yoga classes. The area is popular for snorkeling and windsurfing. The guesthouse also has a library, an honesty bar, and an outdoor fireplace. We used the pool and garden area.
Location and Transport
De Molen Guest House is located on a hill in Somerset West, 19 km from Stellenbosch University and 6.2 km from Helderberg Village Golf Club. It is 30 minutes from Cape Town and 15 minutes from Stellenbosch. The nearest beach is a 15-minute drive. The property offers a paid airport shuttle to Cape Town International Airport (32 km). We found it easy to reach local shops and restaurants.

The guesthouse offers free Wi-Fi, free private parking, and facilities for disabled guests. Services include daily housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and a business center.
